Ligia Nobre

Ligia Nobre, born in São Paulo, 1973, studied architecture in São Paulo, and afterwards received her MA degree in Histories and Theories at the Architectural Association, London. Co-founder/co-director of exoexperimental org. – a platform for arts and politics (2002-2007); researcher and teaching assistant at ETH Studio Basel (2007-2008); one of the curators of the X São Paulo Architecture Biennale – City: ways of making, ways of using (2013) and of the Counter-Conducts, political–pedagogical action (2016-2017). She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in Aesthetics and Art History at the University of São Paulo, researching Afro-Brazilian ritual drawings and modes of existence. She teaches at Escola da Cidade in São Paulo, and is partn of the group of artists O grupo inteiro. She loves drawing.
