Verónica Gerber Bicecci

Visual artist who writes. She has conducted workshops and seminars in image reading, visual writing, abstract writing, mural writing, art theory and drawing in various cultural institutions and higher art education programs. She is editor in the cooperative Tumbona Ediciones and tutor of the Seminar of Photographic Production of the Centro de la Imagen. She has published the books: Mudanza (Almadía, 2017 / 1ed Auieo, 2010) and Conjunto vacío (Almadía, 2015). Her most recent pieces are: Palabras migrantes (2017) at the Art Association, Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Los hablantes No. 2 (2016), at the Museo Amparo, Puebla; and El vacío amplificado (2016), at the Casa-Taller José Clemente Orozco, Guadalajara. In 2013 she was awarded the III Aura Estrada International Literature Prize and in 2014 an honorific mention in the National Photography Essay Prize.
